We had only a few hours for a quick look around Madrid before settling into our work as clinicians for a gathering of student musicians, but stopping for a moment to make this exposure at the Parque del Retiro was definitely worth the run to catch up! I could not resist those carefully-shaped trees. I was carrying a Pentax 6x7 - this photo was made with the 75mm lens. That camera was a lot to carry - if you have never met one, take a standard 35mm slr and bulk it up by a factor of, say, 2.5 to 3 - but one of the great picture-making tools of all time.
