| Myrtle Beach is a favorite spot of ours, and we took advantage of an opportunity to visit there in the Fall, when we could safely spend more time out-of-doors than we dare in the heat of Summer. The Zuiko 40-150mm lens on an Olympus Evolt E-500 afforded the reach and detail to show up the gulls' reflections in the standing water. I have been debating the status of the little fellow in the lower left corner. In the abstract of the picture he is out of place and distracting, and I had plans to digitally make him disappear, but in pulling our eye to the foreground in tension with the overall vista he seems to make the experience more dynamic. We'll see - and this is not the only viable exposure of the scene. | | |
