For a couple of German Springtimes I had been admiring those little white flowers that popped up in the woods, and thinking I really should photograph them - but, how to do so in a way that would make an effective picture? When I saw this scene during a Volksmarsch I knew I had it, so the next day, Easter, I went back with my 4x5 view camera. The negative scanned very well - if you like sharpness and detail, here it is - the digital print is better than the silver print that has been on my wall all these years.
